its something to do with traditional Japanese interior design - the sliding rice paper doors and special grass (?) mats.

So sorry, I've been away.

Shōji aren't just the doors, they're also fixed partitions in rooms. They're often used to `soften` the light coming in from a window. They just weren't possible in MC before now, but the new trapdoors offer great opportunities.

Just a quick look at what can be done

I feel like they could have left the handle off the birch, jungle and acacia trapdoors, like they have for the oak, dark oak and spruce. I mean - we know its a trap door and they know that we use it for so much more than covering a hole.

Bet you could find a tutorial to make a small edit to the texture. I don't know anything about that, but it wouldn't surprise me if it's relatively easy.

As for my plans... I hope you can guess on what I plan on doing.

For the vid, it's fine to post it. If you want to try maybe insert/code would do it. Prolly an easier way though...

I was thinking of a steampunk theme too. But I was thinking of a town with the houses all stacked up on top of each other. Something that I can add to as and when but it (hopefully) won't look incomplete.

Never say never! there is no shame in copying someones design to learn how they do it (Shanks' boat in the jungle bay was not out of his head, but he added his own changes and details once he got the hang of it).

I was thinking of a town with both an airship and a sub. Maybe utilize the balloon in the airship to be a monster flush system... May need help with that as I will be reading Redstone for dummies
