Technically this is my desk:


But since that room is a bit dark most of the day, and needs some TLC, I don’t really like spending much time in there if I don’t need to. And, well, I use a laptop with a lap desk, so I can sit wherever I can plug it in easily, lately this is my “desk”:

Thank you, we somehow lucked out and got the mid-mod house of our dreams (it just took moving to Las Vegas to get it)! And I won't lie, the dog and the pool are my favorite parts too! That pool was my requirement for agreeing to move to Las Vegas, summers are no joke here(we actually even had a week in July where we couldn't swim because the pool was too hot thanks to the sun!).

An old phone image from a year or two ago, but one that I took when I finally got my three-monitor setup to sort-of work.

My set-up is very much a budget build - the two monitors cost a combined £45 including cables and delivery, and the table was picked up for the princely sum of £15 from an auction house, including their delivery surcharge. The keyboard and mouse is about the cheapest Logitech offers, but I prefer cheap-o peripherals for some reason - in my experience they take more abuse than the more expensive alternatives, and I hammer at a keyboard like I'm using a typewriter!

The computer itself (which is under the desk) is also a modest build, but my friend helped me put that together so I couldn't tell you what's inside. It's about four years old at this point, so I'm getting close to needing a new one if I want to keep up with new games. I recently had to play through Final Fantasy XV on potato-quality settings and it spoiled the experience somewhat.

I do actually have a kettle in there now the weather is getting colder. Not all customers offer a drink.
